MUSIC
"From the moment I could comprehend it, I have loved music. My dad was adamant in our education of rock-and-roll, so I grew up to the croons of Pearl Jam and the riffs of Bono. I was obsessed. So, at the age of 8, my parents put me in singing and piano lessons. I have not stopped since."
"The Hill" from Once
Once the musical is very near and dear to Ella (see her blog posts on T3Writes to learn more!) Because of this, for her last performance in the Booker T. Piano department, she did "The Hill", accompanied by 3 very talented string players.
Rondo in D major, K. 485 by Mozart
For her senior piano piece, Ella wanted to find an expressive classical song that she could make my own. She found that with Rondo in D major. Here is the video of this piece.
From The Dust by Paul Zach
Every other week, I play in the adult worship band at Munger Place Church as the only youth member. One song I have performed is "From the Dust" by Paul Zach, a moving and dark, indie alternative song.
"Love Like This" by Lauren Daigle
While studying in Scotland, Ella won the St. Andrews Summer Academic Experience Course Talent Show with her take on this popular song.
